Advent International’s co-head of central and eastern Europe, Joanna James, has become the head of the large buyout firm forum at the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association in one of a range of changes at the trade body.

James will chair the European Private Equity Roundtable, replacing former TPG Capital partner Vincenzo Morelli, who has become EVCA's chairman. EPER has been involved in attempting to improve the private equity industry's image in the last year and has been considering pro-active public relations moves such as websites with case studies and explanations of how the industry works as well as new pieces of research.
