Bank Austria Creditanstalt sent out a fulsome press release trumpeting all its wins in last week's Euromoney awards, such as best bank in Central and Eastern Europe and best custody in the region and, unsurprisingly, best bank in Austria.

We did not notice such a triumphant announcement when the bank made its trading debut after its flotation last week.
