Ex-banker sues CIBC over share options

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce is being sued by a former senior European debt banker after it allegedly cancelled his share options and claimed he breached a non-compete agreement by joining a hedge fund.

Markus Muffler, who resigned as a managing director at CIBC World Markets, the Canadian group's investment banking arm, in March 2003, has filed a UK High Court claim against CIBC.
