Otto van der Wyck, the founder and former chief executive of BC Partners, the European private equity firm, is joining Coller Capital, the secondary market specialist, as an adviser and non-executive director.

Van der Wyck co-founded BC Partners in 1986 with a minority stake from Barings. The private equity firm now has €6bn ($5.5bn) under management with offices in London, Paris, Milan and Hamburg. Van der Wyck retired from his role as the head of BC Partners in 2001.
