Ex-Bush man goes to Wall Street

Richard McCormack, who was the principal co-ordinator for former President George Bush's involvement at the G7 economic summits, has been named Merrill Lynch's vice-chairman.

McCormack will be based in the firm's New York offices, starting on August 1. He will advise on strategy, policy matters and strategic investment opportunities.
