Simon Hirst, who left his position as joint global head of mergers and acquisitions at Commerzbank a year ago, has emerged as head of corporate finance at Durlacher, the UK investment bank focusing on growth companies.

Hirst, who was at Commerzbank for a year and a half and at ABN Amro for eight months before that, joins Durlacher with immediate effect.
