The former co-head of Credit Suisse's financial institutions group in Europe has joined boutique Centerview Partners as it builds up its ranks in the region.

Israel Fernández, who departed the Swiss bank in October amid an exodus of senior dealmakers, has joined the boutique as a partner, according to people familiar with the appointment. He has also updated his LinkedIn profile to reflect his new role.
