Ex-Evercore investment banker launches boutique adviser

A senior investment banker hired by Evercore to kick-start a private capital business in 2013 is the latest heavy-hitter to leave a big-name firm to launch his own boutique.

Nicolas Lanel, who left Evercore at the end of last year, has founded Flow Advisors, a boutique firm that specialises in secondary market advisory, according to filings on Companies House. At Evercore, he was a managing director and head of European private capital.
