Ex-Merrill veteran takes role at Icap

A former Merrill Lynch senior executive, who helped build the bank's equity derivatives business in the early 1990s and departed in the wake of the bank's merger with Bank of America earlier this year, has become a non-executive director at interdealer broker Icap.

Icap has appointed John Sievwright, most recently the chief operating officer for international at Merrill Lynch, as a non-executive director.
