The former chief investment officer of event-driven hedge fund Perry Capital has hired an ex-colleague to launch the London arm of Smith Cove Capital, his new investment firm.

Chetan Gulati, who ran Perry’s London office between 2010 and its closure late last year, has been hired by David Russekoff to bolster his investment team and run Smith Cove’s London operations.
