Andre Du Plessis, a senior consultant at investment advisers Watson Wyatt who left in July, has resurfaced at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in a new role as European head of fiduciary management. He has a brief to extend the manager's offering outside the core Dutch market.

Du Plessis, who specialised in hedge fund research while at Watson Wyatt, will take over direct responsibility for fudiciary management from Matt Wade, global head of manager strategies - Goldman Sachs' manager research function.
