Ex-White House aide follows Zoellick

Goldman Sachs has appointed a former deputy assistant to President Bush as its new director of international public policy. The appointment follows a number of high profile moves between the investment bank and the US administration.

Faryar Shirzad will join the international government affairs team and work from the firm's Washington DC office.
