Exane BNP Paribas has hired Deutsche Bank’s top oil and gas researcher, the fourth senior recruit the broker has made from the German lender in the past 12 months.

Lucas Herrmann will join Exane in September as head of oil and gas research, according to a source with knowledge of the move. He succeeds Theepan Jothilingam, who was promoted to head of research in November.
