EY to close UK offices for one day to force staff to take holiday

EY's advisory, assurance, tax, transaction and business services divisions will all take a day off on 3 July

EY will be shutting most of its UK offices for one day this summer to help make sure its staff use up their yearly holiday allowance, following a widespread reluctance to take time off while the lockdown and travel restrictions have remained in place.

The Big Four firm told its 17,000 employees about the scheduled day off in a memo sent by the firm on 15 June, EY confirmed with Financial News.
