Fate of Morgan Grenfell Private Equity goes to the vote

Morgan Grenfell Private Equity, the troubled Deutsche Bank-owned unit, will know its fate this week when investors in its buy-out fund vote whether to accept Deutsche's proposal to fold the firm into its main private equity business.

Investors, as diverse as the Bank of England's pension fund and Abbey National Treasury Services, will have to muster a 75% vote on Thursday against the proposal to de-rail Deutsche's plans.
