FCA chair-elect admits ‘error of judgment’ on film scheme investment

Charles Randell, the incoming chairman of the Financial Conduct Authority, today admitted to lawmakers he had made an "error of judgment" in investing in a film production partnership that was investigated by UK tax agencies.

Randell was quizzed on the issue at the start of a hearing with the Treasury Committee, chaired by Nicky Morgan, over his appointment at the top of the UK's financial regulator.
