FCA ‘talking to government’ about post-Brexit transition

The chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority has reiterated his calls for a transitional Brexit deal, and said the regulator is pressing the government on the issue.

Andrew Bailey, who was speaking today at the watchdog's annual public meeting, said a "big issue" for firms under the FCA's supervision was that many would need to put into action their Brexit plans before they know the outcome of negotiations.
