FCA hit by staff exits ahead of Brexit deluge

More than one in nine staff left the regulator in the last financial year, with headhunters saying executives can receive higher salaries elsewhere

The Financial Conduct Authority has been hit by mounting staff departures amid employee dissatisfaction with its office relocation, increased workload and below-market salaries.

The departures come at an awkward time for the regulator, which is grappling with a wide range of Brexit-related issues in addition to its daily activities of policing the UK’s financial services industry.
