FCA reviewing eight banks in client trading probe

Markets watchdog scoping out sellside firms to make sure they are providing ‘best execution’ on deals

UK regulators have asked for information from eight banks in a bid to understand compliance with client trading rules.

Bloomberg reported last month that the Financial Conduct Authority wanted to get an overview of so-called best execution practices, with Goldman Sachs and Barclays among the banks approached for information.
