Staff at the Financial Conduct Authority are gearing up for their first performance reviews under a new grading system, as the watchdog prepares to usher in new rules for paying its employees.

In an 8 February email to all staff sent by FCA chief executive Nikhil Rathi and seen by Financial News, Rathi noted that the deadline for end-year performance reviews was this week.
