The UK Financial Conduct Authority could publish its controversial overhaul of the country's listing rules, widely seen as an attempt to lure the largest public share sale of all time, as early as next month.

The watchdog had been due to confirm the new rules — first put forward last summer — at the end of 2017, following a consultation period, but said in January it would be delaying their introduction.
