Fears grow that Deutsche will cut 2,000 jobs in Germany

Deutsche Bank is understood to be considering cutting jobs in its home country as part of the drive to deliver the 25% return on capital demanded by chief executive Josef Ackermann.

Bankers had believed that Frankfurt would escape the global jobs cull of up to 6,000.
