The Federation of European Securities Exchanges has called on Europe’s finance ministers to create a new taskforce to help boost listings, as the exchange association ramps up its campaign to reinvigorate Europe’s flagging equity capital markets.
Fese, which represents stock exchanges throughout Europe, said "urgent action" is needed to reinvigorate the ability of companies to access financing via equity markets. The call was made in a letter to Michael Noonan, Minister of Finance for Ireland, which currently holds the presidency of the Council of the European Union.
