Fibernet Group, the UK-based data communications company, has extended its fibre optic high-capacity network into the Docklands area of London, giving companies in the area access to data storage, disaster recovery and a national high-speed communications network.

The Docklands Metropolitan Optical Networking Services will provide direct optical connectivity to 10 London telehotels, the facilities that house switches, routers and servers for telecoms carriers and internet service providers.
