Companies in China are best placed to bounce back from the Covid-19 pandemic, according to Fidelity International, whose analysts say the country’s fast and draconian containment measures have set the stage for a comparatively fast recovery.

Fidelity polled 150 of its analysts worldwide between 7 and 12 March for their views on the pandemic, and found that while 85% of its China teams believe the country will recover by the end of June, more than half of analysts covering other regions said the economic fallout will stretch into the second half of the year.
