Fidelity rebrands institutional arm

Fidelity Investments, the US fund manager, is to rebrand its institutional investment arm as Pyramis Global Advisors.

The money management division accounts for just 10% of the group's $1.1 trillion (€913bn) of assets but the move represents the first stage of separating it completely from the mutual fund business. It is hoped that as an independent unit the institutional business will grow rapidly.
