Fidelity’s multi-asset investment head departs

James Bateman’s exit comes amid a flurry of senior-level changes at multi-asset funds across the industry

The head of investments at Fidelity International’s £33bn multi-asset business is leaving to set up his own venture.

James Bateman, who has been chief investment officer for the business since 2016, according to his LinkedIn profile, has stepped down. He joined the fund manager in 2012, having previously worked at Barclays Wealth and Investment Management.
