A politician known for frustrating legislation with drawn-out objections in the UK parliament wants to breathe new life into a debate about whether retail investors should be banned from putting money into complex crypto assets.

Conservative Philip Davies, re-elected as the member of parliament for Shipley, West Yorkshire, in last night’s general election, is worried that overregulation of the small but growing market could affect the UK’s status as a hub for financial innovation.
