There has been no improvement in the number of female partners at financial services firms, despite a widely publicised effort by companies to recruit more women, according to a new analysis by law firm Fox & Partners.
After analysing the entire population of partnerships regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority, Fox & Partners found that just 14% of partners at hedge funds, private equity firms and other financial services partnerships are women. This is the same proportion as last year, and up just one percentage point compared to 2013.
