IOSCO to step in on international rule disputes

The global super-regulator for financial markets is planning to help resolve international regulatory disputes in a move that could prove crucial in Brexit and Mifid II discussions.

Ashley Alder, the chairperson of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions, said the group, which acts as a policy forum for regulators worldwide, will spend more time helping national and continent-wide financial watchdogs to come to agreements when their rules cross over borders.
