Firms launch commercial property funds

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) and Westbury Asset Management, a new alternative investment firm, have launched property funds to give investors direct access to commercial property.

Westbury, which has launched the Westbury Property Fund, aims to raise £245m (€397m). The launch, which is being sponsored by Teather & Greenwood, is targeting the institutional market.
