First State loses star managers amid UK equities change

A decision by First State Investments, which bought Scotland's Stewart Ivory last year, to run UK equities from London instead of Edinburgh has led to the departure of at least two senior fund managers.

After months of deliberations on how best to run the UK equities David Shaw Stewart, head of UK equities, and Marcus Brooks, senior portfolio manager responsible for one of the firm's flagship investment trust, have left.
