Credit Suisse First Boston and Citigroup are among five brokers to have signed up to 4Teus Rontech, a software package which helps them manage transaction and research costs.

The software makers believe the systems ability to evaluate broker services could pave the way for greater cost transparency for investors. Fund managers currently pay brokers a lump sum to cover a range of services.
