Clearstream International, the settlement and custody subsidiary of Deutsche Börse, has appointed five new board members to work alongside the agency's new chief executive, who took up his role on Friday.

Those joining the board include Antonio Zoido, the president of Spanish exchange Bolsa de Madrid; Guillaume Fromonte, director general of Crédit Agricole, the investment bank; and Francesco Vanni d'Archirafi, the chief executive of Citigroup's global transaction services business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
