Turnaround/Distressed Debt Firm of the Year: Apollo

The undoubted highlight for Apollo last year was the firm’s exit on the most profitable deal in its history

Last year was one of exits for Apollo Global Management, after founder and chief executive Leon Black said in spring 2013 that the firm would be selling everything “that’s not nailed down” amid booming markets.

The undoubted highlight was the firm's exit on the most profitable deal in its history, selling all its shares in the Dutch chemical maker LyondellBasell Industries.
