FN100: Where are they now? Conni Jonsson

Jonsson's Swedish buyout firm has been one of the busiest in recent months

Conni Jonsson, who last featured on the FN 100 in 2008, remains managing partner of Swedish buyout firm, EQT Partners, which has barely budged from industry headlines in recent months, with a spree of transactions, a fresh €4.25bn fundraising and a gong for best Nordic firm at last week’s Private Equity News awards.

In the year leading to his last appearance, EQT had taken majority control of the firm from its parent, Investor AB, run by Sweden's Wallenberg family. The Wallenberg's were one of EQT's founding backers in 1994, and also the biggest sponsor of EQT's funds, but in January 2007 it struck a deal to more than halve its stake to 31%, selling 36% of the buyout firm to partners for €31.2m.
