State Street Global Advisors has lost its third high-profile executive in a month with the departure of Tony Foley, its head of research. Foley and his research assistant Anita Xu are leaving the US-based asset manager for personal reasons.

A spokesman for SSgA declined to comment, beyond saying that Foley's departure was not connected with the recent exit of SSgA investment chief Alan Brown.
