The lobby group for foreign banks in the UK has chosen a new chairman to replace the ING banker preparing a move to the US.

The Association of Foreign Banks will name Sun Yu, UK chief executive of Bank of China, as its chairman at its annual general meeting on Thursday evening, said people familiar with the matter. He is already a member of the association.
