The medium-term performance of Alliance Trust has been “dismal”, and shareholders eyeing “better returns” should vote in favour of the three new non-executive directors nominated by rebel investor Elliott Advisors, Tim Ingram, a former board member of the £3.6bn investment trust, has said.
