David Warren, a former Credit Suisse First Boston banker, has been named chief financial officer of the Nasdaq stock market, as the US exchange moves towards a flotation.
Wick Simmons, chairman and chief executive officer of Nasdaq, said in a statement: "Warren's extensive financial management background in both the public and private sectors will serve us well as we continue to move forward with Nasdaq's global expansion and our transition into a for-profit and, eventually, publicly-traded company."
