François Fillon, the former French prime minister whose presidential bid was derailed earlier this year, has taken a job at the Parisian investment boutique Tikehau Capital.

Fillon will become the firm's 30th partner on September 1, Tikehau said in a statement this morning. It is a full-time role that will see him promoting the firm's international expansion plans and its investments in French small and medium enterprises.
