Riess takes top job at Fese

Former Deutsche Börse executive fills the gap left by Judith Hardt, who resigned from the European exchange body in May

The Federation of European Securities Exchanges has appointed a former Deutsche Börse executive as its new interim director general, filling a gap left by the resignation of Judith Hardt earlier this year.

Rainer Riess, who was managing director of Deutsche Börse and chairman of the management board of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange up until last year, joined the European exchange body today.
