The former global head of real estate at HSBC's alternative investments division has teamed up with three former colleagues to launch a new firm with cornerstone backing from a Swiss wealth manager.

The move marks the latest move into real estate by an established asset management firm, amid a push among institutional managers to diversify into new products.
