Former HSBC trader to be extradited to US to face fraud charges

A former trader at HSBC will be extradited to the US to face charges over his role in manipulating foreign exchange benchmarks, a UK judge ruled today.

Stuart Scott, HSBC's former head of foreign exchange trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, was arrested in June in the UK and appeared in a London court earlier this month to fight US attempts to extradite him.
