Sir Steve Webb, the former pensions minister, will leave his role as director of policy at insurer Royal London to join the pensions consultancy Lane Clark and Peacock.

Webb, who will join as a partner on 10 February, will be in charge of LCP’s campaigning activity and help make sure the company’s offering to its pension-fund clients keeps up with regulations, LCP said in a statement.
