Former Tote CEO primed for bid race

The former chief executive of state-owned bookmaker the Tote is considering an offer for the company but anticipates competition from "a number of the other potential bidders".

John Heaton, the Tote's former chief executive who now runs Interactive Gaming Holdings, the online sports betting and gaming operator, said he would be interested in acquiring the Tote's 540 UK betting shops.
