Profits for 2001 at Fortis Investment Management, the asset management arm of Beglo-Dutch financial services group Fortis, look set to be well off the levels achieved last year.

Fortis Investment Management raised €22m in net operating profits in the first six months of this year, compared to the €90m for the whole of 2000.
