France Télécom offloads 36% stake in TDF

France Télécom has made €140m ($178m) over two years from selling the remainder of its stake in Télédiffusion de France, its transmission tower business, to a private equity consortium.

The sale comes two years after France Télécom sold part of TDF to a private equity consortium of Charterhouse Capital Partners, the UK buy-out house, CDC Ixis Equity Capital, the leveraged buy-out firm, and Caisse des Dépôts, the French bank, for €1.9bn.
