France Télécom sale doubles due to calculation errors

France Télécom has been forced to nearly double its estimate of the number of shares not taken up in its €15bn ($16bn) rights issue "due to accounting errors in the number of shares communicated by certain financial intermediaries".

BNP Paribas was the central co-ordinating bank responsible for collating information, including data from the retail network in France.
