The Financial Reporting Council has closed part of its investigation into the 2016 financial statements of outsourcing company Mitie.

In November 2017 the UK’s audit watchdog launched a probe into the preparation and approval of the group’s accounts, following a series of profit warnings from the outsourcing company in 2016.
